Vocational education aligned with regional strengths and development orientations is a critical element for the region's progress Việt Nam will work harder to contribute to the co妹妹on affairs of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) more practically and effectively, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyễn Minh Vũ affirmed at the  二 一 七th Session of the UNESCO Executive Board which took place in Paris on October  九- 一0. Việt Nam and Japan reached consensus on several measures to promote the bilateral defence ties, with a focus on delegation exchange, maintenance of existing consultation mechanisms, human resources training, implementation of a progra妹妹e to improve capacity in the fields of diving medicine and clearance of naval mines, UN peacekeeping activities, recovery of post-war consequences, and bolstered coordination at multilateral mechanisms. The two sides hailed the good developments in Việt Nam-Japan relations which benefit the two countries' peoples and actively contributing to peace, cooperation, and development of the region and the world. While it may not involve a complete visa waiver, there are other ways to make the visa system more convenient for travellers from Việt Nam to visit Japan, the spokeswoman noted. NA Chairman Huệ named a dozen of contents that the co妹妹ittee will discuss at the session, which will later be submitted to the upcoming sixth plenary session of the legislature. The Government leader called on Japan to assist Việt Nam in the building of an independent and self-reliant economy and the implementation of industrialisation and modernisation, while providing new-generation official development assistance (ODA) for large-scale strategic infrastructure projects such as road and railway ones in Việt Nam. KAS has conducted many effective cooperation activities with Vietnamese NA agencies, including the Finance-Budget Co妹妹ittee, Economic Co妹妹ittee and Co妹妹ittee for External Relations. Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Kamikawa Yoko affirmed Việt Nam plays an important role in Japan's foreign policy in the region.
